TimeSheet is no longer free (but it's still open source!)Well, since I have had no help with timesheet (except for the occasional .02), I've decided its a good enough application to start charging $$ for. Aww, I know. Your feelings are hurt! Well, its been going for over a year now and I've had thousands of downloads and no contributors. Maybe some day it will become free again!

All right. .. With some great feedback from our users in the forums, we find that our install sucked. Basically it didn't work. It was BAD. Well, now it does work thanks to some good detective work done by "wna" in the forums!

Hey, we're still at it. You don't have to log in every time the session times out any more! Happy day. Also, we're going to start keeping track of revisions. (Latest: 1.2). Another nifty feature is the "quick-task" view which shows you any running tasks right when you log in so you don't have to go searching though everywhere to find which task and jobs to START or STOP the time clock for.

File Archival SystemOh, I had a scare. A few days ago, I was looking for an old contract I had written up for a client in OpenOffice format and the only format I could find it in was PDF, and even that was the wrong one. I searched for about 2 hours; I scoured old computers, my wife's laptop everywhere. Then it dawned on me, if I had these files somewhere "SAFE", and it correlated with my projects ... So I put in a nifty little file manager for jobs in timesheet! So you can upload those contracts and terms, and NDAs and graphics and never lose them again. This new build (2005-12-27) now has a neat new ajax file manager / uploader in it. It's simple, and it works great.
That Newfangled Ajax thing!Some neat AJAX stuff is coming! I have added a new little feature that allows you to view a list of your current jobs for each client .. All done via Ajax! I'll probably start moving a lot more of the interface towards this, as the intelligent people out at http://xajax.sourceforge.net have created an excellent PHP AJAX package which allows me to implement Ajax with ease into my existing codebase!
Now I can be unique just like everbody else!
Client Billing Ledger!
Hey, I got sick of trying to remember which client paid what and when .. So I put in some great new features that will allow you to keep a "ledger" so to speak of when and the amount clients pay! This is also important because it will now give you a view of how much money your clients have left before they have to pay more. When it turns red, your clients owe you money, when it is black, you owe them time! Simple as that!

So I did what any proper Interneteer would do .. I created a simple easy to use web based solution for my paper mess.
The initial version was comprised of about 4 hours worth of work, and was by no means feature rich -- I made it to be easy to use, and easy to understand. Now it is full of excellent features that will help anybody who is looking for a great way to keep track of time and billing for multiple clients. I think you will find it is very useful at giving you a valid concept of how much money you are making with each client you service, and how much time you are spending on your projects.

While not 100% free (as in cost) please Feel free to use Ultrize PHP TimeSheet software however you wish. For your convenience it is 100% Open source, so feel free to extend it, submit fixes, upgrades or whatever you wish. This is a great project, and the code base is very easily understood.
